The path of Paulins connects Paulins' monasteries which were centres of exceptional importance for Kaikavian culture and for the progress of the whole Kaikavian region in North Croatia through medieval times.
We divided it into two parts so you can explore it more conveniently 1st part is in the West of Kaikavian region, and part #1 is in the Eastern Kaikavian region.

This beautiful gothic church in Remetinec at Novi Marof was built by Czech Ian Vitovec, who governed the estates of Celjski counts from Zagorje til Kostajnica in the Kingdom of Slavonia, i.e. todays in Kaikavian region.  The gothic church was built in the 2nd half of 15th century. There was a gothic monastery next to church, of which today a small part remains as a rectory (=kaikavian farof). ...

Restaurant Barok


Restaurant Barok in Čakovec, Medjimurje, offers you traditional Kaikavian dishes from Medjimurje - meat from tiblica, pretepena-soup with sour and meat, prežgana-soup with eggs, home made žganci á la Medjimurje, as well as trgance.
