This beautiful gothic church in Remetinec at Novi Marof was built by Czech Ian Vitovec, who governed the estates of Celjski counts from Zagorje til Kostajnica in the Kingdom of Slavonia, i.e. todays in Kaikavian region.
The gothic church was built in the 2nd half of 15th century. There was a gothic monastery next to church, of which today a small part remains as a rectory (=kaikavian farof).
The full name of the church is Church of Blissful Virgin Mary of Holy Rosary.
