Thematic route 4 wooden churches or chapels was inspired by the uniqueness of Turopolje and its wooden, traditional Kaikavian architecture, both sacral and profane. These wooden churches and chaples are unique in Europe, and are located very close to Zagreb. Here we present on our ethno/eco portal this unique intangible and tangible heritage of spirit and Kaikavian tradition to broader public.

You can start the trip through wild romantic Turopolje in Lučelnica, go over Lukinić brdo to Lijevi Štefanki (where you can see 2 wooden churches!) and then come back to Gustelnica to see maybe the highlight of sacral wooden architecture of Kaikavians.
For eat&drink we recommend nearby restaurant Ključić brdo, which is not far away from Gustelnica.
Be sure to check the locations of the chapels on the map here on the page to plan the trip.
